Meet Antara Chansarkar (she/her)! Antara joined We CU this Fall 2022 semester. As We CU’s Student Support Leader, Antara manages We CU’s GivePulse group, assists with project matching, runs We CU trainings, and supports students throughout their We CU experience. Tell us a bit about yourself
I am a first-year Grad Student pursuing MS in Information Management with a specialization in Data Science and Analytics. Before this, I completed my undergrad in Computer Science and Engineering from SGSITS, India. I am from India, and I am an Indian Classical Dancer. I also love to sing, travel, and eat different cuisines.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about using information and data to draw meaningful conclusions and using those for the betterment of people. This is one of the reasons I wanted to be involved with We CU, as the work here aligns with my path of study and helping the society.
What is your favorite quote, and why?
My favorite quote is- “Do or do not, there is no try” which means if you commit, you should do the job, or else just don’t commit. I like it because this is what I truly believe and totally agree with.
Do you have any advice for We CU students?
I just have one piece of advice: Give your 100% in whichever project you choose, because that’s what will help you get the best out of the whole volunteering experience and ensure the success of that project as well.
