Resources for Scholars

We CU offers several tools and resources to empower students to make a positive impact in the community while building their resume and enriching their university experience.

Recognition

We CU is proud to recognize students for their community-based work. All undergraduate and graduate students who complete a service project each year (~20 hours) will be recognized as We CU Community Engaged Scholars.

Students should submit their service hours by April 16, 2025, to be honored at We CU’s annual spring reception.

Mini-Grants

We CU tries to make service more accessible to University of Illinois students through mini-grants. All undergraduate and graduate students can apply for up to $199 in support each semester.

To be eligible, students must complete at least 20 hours of service with a community organization in East Central Illinois and fill out the We CU Scholar Recognition form.
